Selling a militaria estate
An inherited estate or a collection built up over years is often hard to assess. We look at the whole and advise you discreetly, even if you do not know what the items are.

In shortTo begin with, a few overview photos and detail shots of the most striking pieces are enough. Please do not separate or clean anything. We explain what you have and, if you wish, make an offer for everything or for individual parts.
How best to proceed
- Gather everything in one place and do not sort anything out at first
- Take overview photos: all items side by side on a table
- Take detail photos of the most striking pieces, plus documents and photos
- Send the pictures via the form or WhatsApp
- Wait for the first appraisal and decide in your own time
What an estate often contains
Typical are decorations with certificates, a pay book or service record, photo albums, field post, badges, uniform parts, equipment and sometimes an edged weapon. The value often lies in the context: whatever can be attributed to one person is particularly interesting to collectors.
Discretion and respect
Many heirs are unsure how to deal with these objects. We treat your request confidentially, explain things clearly and give you time to decide. We use family papers only for the appraisal.
Handing over large estates
- Handover in person by appointment at our premises in Berlin
- Or shipping after we agree, in several parcels if needed
- Payment by bank transfer, PayPal or in cash on handover
Legal review
Estates often contain items with symbols that may fall under § 86a of the German Criminal Code. You do not need to assess this yourself. We review everything before purchase and tell you openly what is possible.
Photos that help us
- One overview photo of all items
- Detail photos of the most striking pieces
- Documents and photos that belong together
- No complete list needed
Frequently asked questions
Do I have to sort the estate first?
No. Please do not separate anything that belongs together. We sort and identify.
Do you buy the whole estate or only single items?
Both are possible. You decide what you want to sell.
I would like to keep some keepsakes. Is that a problem?
Not at all. Just tell us which items should stay in the family.
How long does it take with a large estate?
That depends on the size. Overview photos are enough for a first appraisal; we agree on the detailed valuation with you afterwards.
