Estates & collections: we buy by photo
An inherited estate is often hard to survey. We look at the whole, explain what you have and make you an offer for everything together.

What we buy
- Complete militaria estates
- Collections built up over years
- Mixed lots of decorations, documents, photos and equipment
- Parts of collections, if you only want to sell some items
Photos that help with the appraisal
- First an overview: everything side by side on a table
- Then detail photos of the most striking pieces
- Documents and photos belonging to one person
- A complete list is not necessary
What determines the value
- Context
- Do the items belong to one person or story?
- Highlights
- Individual rare or sought-after pieces
- Extent
- Quantity and variety of the collection
- Condition
- Storage, moisture, completeness
- Provenance
- Family history, photos, documents
Legal review
Before we buy an item, we check whether it bears symbols covered by § 86 or § 86a of the German Criminal Code (StGB) and how a legally compliant purchase is possible. You do not need to assess this yourself. More on the legal situation
Questions about Estates & collections
Do I have to sort the estate first?
No. Please do not separate anything that belongs together, such as a decoration and its certificate. Overview photos are enough to begin with.
Can I bring a large estate in person?
Yes, by appointment in Berlin. Alternatively, you ship the items after we agree, in several parcels if needed.
Do you also buy parts of an estate?
Yes. You decide what you want to sell. We can also make an offer for individual items.
