2. Visiting the website

When you visit the website, our hosting provider processes technically necessary data transmitted by your browser: IP address, date and time, page requested, amount of data transferred, browser and operating system, and the previously visited page. This data is needed to deliver the website and keep it secure.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is the secure and stable operation of the website. Log data is deleted according to the hosting provider’s retention periods unless it is needed to investigate a security incident.

3. No cookies, no tracking

We do not set cookies for analytics or advertising and do not use tracking or statistics services. Fonts and all other parts of the website are loaded from our own server.

4. Photo request via the form

If you send us a request via the form, we process your name, email address, optionally your phone number and country, the category chosen, your description and the photos and documents uploaded. The files are stored on our server and the request is delivered to us by email. We also send you a short confirmation of receipt.

We use this data exclusively to appraise your items, reply to you and complete a possible purchase. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (steps prior to and performance of a contract).

To prevent misuse, we store an irreversible check value (hash) of your IP address and the time of each request. Your IP address cannot be recovered from this value. We only use it to block more than six requests per hour from the same connection (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

5. Contact by email, phone or WhatsApp

If you contact us by email or phone, we process your details to handle your enquiry (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).

For messages via WhatsApp, the terms of WhatsApp (WhatsApp Ireland Limited, Meta) also apply, and data may be transferred to countries outside the EU. If you do not want this, please use the form, email or phone.

6. Live chat

Our chat is provided by Zendesk. It is only loaded once you click “Start live chat”. Only then is data such as your IP address and your messages transferred to Zendesk, including to the USA. The legal basis is your consent by clicking (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Without a click, no connection to Zendesk is made.

7. Links to other websites

Our pages link to reviews on Google and Trustpilot and to Google Maps. These services are only accessed when you click a link; the respective provider’s privacy policy then applies.

8. Storage period

We delete your request and the uploaded files as soon as they are no longer needed for processing. On the web server they are deleted automatically after twelve months at the latest. If a purchase takes place, we keep the records for as long as statutory retention obligations apply.

9. Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure and restriction of processing, to data portability and to object to processing based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. You can withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future. An informal message to info@wwiidaggers.de is sufficient.

You may also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, for example the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information.

October 2026. The German version of this privacy policy is authoritative.
